[Commercial/Historic/Rehab/Tenant Fitout/Multi-Family Housing]
A historic bank in Downtown Winchester now lives four lives at once. LMA's adaptive reuse transformed the old bank offices and grand main room into four tenant fit-outs within a single footprint: modern apartments, office space, an event venue, and a bar. Upstairs, the apartments interlock with one another like puzzle pieces, a design that gives every resident ample window area and natural light, with interior walls shaped to make the most of spaces where windows couldn't go. The office space sits quietly at the rear of the main level, while the bar was sneaked into the basement, complete with a new exterior stair opening right onto the Walking Mall. And the event space claims the best room in the house: the bank's grand main hall, vault included, spilling out into a side courtyard reclaimed from a former alley. Four new lives, one historic structure, and a downtown landmark kept alive rather than replaced.
